Torn Paper Photoshop Template

With the Torn Paper Template for Photoshop you can instantly emulate a torn/ripped paper photo effect from any photo or graphic that you want. You just need to replace a single Smart Object for the image and the file will automatically apply all the effects to make the inner part look like a drawing of your photo.

After updating the Smart Object, you can turn on/off the different effect layers, adjust them and pick any color you want for the torn and background papers to fine tune the end result. The included PSD file has a resolution of 300 dpi with a dimension of 4800 x 3200 px in RGB color mode perfect to be used on your digital designs.

How to update the Smart Object

  1. Open the "Torn Paper Photoshop Template.psd" file in Photoshop.
  2. Double click on the "[Your Image Here]" Smart Object layer thumbnail.
  3. Replace the sample artwork with your own content.
  4. Save and close the Smart Object.

How to change the paper colors

  1. Open the "Torn Paper Photoshop Template.psd" file in Photoshop.
  2. Double click on the thumbnail of any green labelled layers named "[Change X Color]".
  3. Pick any color from the Color Picker window and click OK.
